Notre Dame Seminary Restoration

Damaged by Hurricane Katrina, these two buildings will require over 80,000 square feet of replacement slate. The scope of work also includes replacing nearly 3,000 feet of 20oz. copper gutters, installing over 600 feet of custom matched 16oz copper ridge metal, and thousands of feet of Copper Hip Metal, Copper Valley Metal, Copper Eave Flashings, and replacing nearly 30 Flat Seam Copper and Standing Seam Copper dormer roofs and flat roofs.

We are also in the process of replicating the ornate copper Cupola that you see being removed. It has been shipped back to our sheet metal fabrication shop in Belvidere, Illinois and will be reinstalled once it is completed. Also, in the coming months, look for the 7 ornate copper finials that are over 12 feet tall that we are also replicating.

This project started in June of 2006 and is expected to be complete by the May 2007. Renaissance Roofing, Inc has fabricated 100% of the sheet metal flashing required for this project with our own equipment and personnel.
